Summary: Not a fan of this hair dryer 2007-09-13
Comment: I have been using this hair dryer for about 2 years. If it didn't cost so much I would have replaced it. I had been using a lower cost ceramic heat ionizing hair dryer which was pretty terrific, but that one died and I couldn't find another one like it.
I thought the ionizer was not working on this dryer when I got it home because my hair kept turning out frizzy and I didn't smell any ions like I did from my other dryer. I exchanged the dryer twice with the same results. I'm not sure if the tourmaline makes a difference in how ions smell, but I'm still not convinced any of the three dryers worked correctly. I got tired of returning them and ultimately kept the third dryer.
Pros:
It has a great feel to it.
It is well balanced and solidly made. I fell in love with the feel of the dryer and how it handled. It's not clunky feeling at all.
The cord is an adequate length.
It is an attractive hair dryer
Cons:
My normally sleek and shiny hair isn't quite as sleek and shiny as it normally was with the cheaper ceramic, ionic dryer I'd had before.
Obviously, higher price does not guarantee the end result
I had to use my dryer to dry around a mirror that had gotten wet. I used the dryer on high with the concentrated flow attachment. The attachment melted under the heat of the dryer.
Bottom line---I would never purchase this product and/or brand again.
It does dry hair, but at this point I'd trade it for the clunky feeling cheaper model that gave better results.

Summary: Wow 2007-01-05
Comment: I was rec'd this dryer as a gift but knew how much was spent. I was skeptical about it being worth the money. However this dryer is GREAT! It is extremly light and makes my hair feel wonderfully smooth. My hair has a nice shine to it now. I have thick hair and with this dryer I don't have to use a straightner to bring the poof down.
The only negative - it is not as quiet as advertised. I'd say it is about as loud as other dryers.
