I bought this about a month ago. I did a LOT of research - contemplated buying a T3, then Elchim, Sedu (I used my roommates Sedu 4000i, and being that it was top rated on FoLica etc, I expected so much more. It was so dissappointing, didnt get hot at all, and took forever to dry and style my hair.) I finally settled on Solano - and then started the looong research process between comparing the 3700 vs 3600i vs the regular 235. This one I finally bought was a risky move, because I didnt find many reviews on it, but went with my gut. I'm glad I did.

The reason I'm writing such a long review is because I would liked to find something like this about the product.

First a little bit about my hair type: very thick, a million sections, quite curly on the top so I need to use a round brush and some real effort to blow dry it straight. this hair dryer makes it easier. This is a high quality blow dryer with strong wind and ionic heat power that I purchased to replace a dead SuperSolanoX1875. I ended up returning the 3700Moda for the 3500Lite because this 3700Moda seemed to be just a bit too much for my hair leaving it dry and frizzy. I have thin course fragile hair and the 3500 seems to be just a little gentler and leaves my hair smoother. The 3700Moda was highly recommended as a favorite at Solano so perhaps it works well for folks with thicker hair. I did love the shape, weight and compact design. I think I would have loved it if I had thicker hair.

Over seven years ago, I purchased my first Solano hair dryer, after my cheap Conair died from just a couple years of intermittent use. I wanted that salon blow dry every day, so I called up my stylist and asked what hair dryer he had. After navigating Italian websites I found my Solano and got it shipped here. Yes, it was an expensive hair dryer, but my (then) long, thick, curly hair needed power. Solano delivered and I loved that dryer to the bitter end: a drop. Granted, I had dropped this thing at least a hundred times before and it always worked afterwards, but it must have been its time to go.

Once I took apart my faithful friend (they make it easy) and determined there was no salvaging the plastic shelf that held the motor steady, I knew my next hair dryer would also be a Solano, especially since minus that drop, that thing would have gone another five years no problem.
