I have been using this comb for about the last 7 years (have gone through two of them) and it has really made a difference in the condition of my hair. Most combs have a ridge on the plastic tooth that can snag and damage your hair, this one is smooth all the way around.

Pros- Fits securely in your hand and runs smoothly through tangles with little effort. Does not damage hair. Attractive design.

Cons- A little pricey (but worth it!!)

I am going to have to disagree with most of the reviewers here. This comb is nothing like I've ever seen in a drugstore, and is most definitely not cheap. If you like fine things, you will love this comb! It is a wonderful comb well worth the high cost, in my opinion. Everything about it is quality, just like the other Mason Pearson products. It is all one piece, entirely handmade in Switzerland, and includes a rat tail. When I comb my hair with it, it makes my hair even straighter, I believe because of the width of the tines (they are pretty deep). It is very sturdy and will last for a long time. This was the first Mason Pearson product I bought and I was so impressed with the quality that it convinced me to buy the brushes as well. My entire family is a big fan.
