I have wavy, thick hair, and whatever brush I use for blow drying doesn't straighten my hair enough. I bought this brush because the description said it was for my hair type, rather than "all hair types."

Not only is my hair straighter than before, the boar bristles (at least, I think it's the boar bristles)leaves my hair soft, smooth, and flat, not bushy. Plus, hair drying seems to take much less time than before.

The boar bristles seem to shed from the brush---I have to pick some off my rug after blow drying. But considering what my hair looks like now, I'm not complaining.

Sits well in the hand, has a great heft, and has the perfect size barrel to get the job done.

The barrel also heats to just the right temperature and makes the job much easier.

I've also exposed this brush to substantial physical abuse (I'm a klutz), and it has yet to show any sign of wear and tear. I can't even count how many times I've stepped on this brush after knocking it off the counter onto my hard floor, and you'd never know it.

Giving it four stars instead of five because I feel like the bristles could be more durable than they are.
