Elchim Professional 2001 1800 Watt Classic Hair Dryer (Colors May Vary)

Comment: This is my 2nd Elchim hair dryer. I had my previous one for over 2 years. I have really curly, frizzy hair and it straightens beautifully with the Elchim and a round brush. It also cuts the time in half that it takes for me to blow it out.

Comment: I chose to get an elchim because I know of so many people who were ecstatic with this product. Overall, I'm really enjoying. The power of the blow is really strong and the heat is amazing too. It takes me half the time that it usually does to blow my hair with this dryer, as opposed to others. This blow dryer is amazing!

Comment: Received the red and black dryer. Didn't prefer it in the photo but cute in person. What I wanted in a dryer is all it has in the "pro" list:


pros:

-dries hair quickly without overdrying; not wimpy
-cord is thick and sturdy
-gives good power outflow of air
-lint catcher easy to clean with a q-tip

cons:

-it takes a little getting used to holding the handle without accidentally changing the switches
-cord leaves an impression if you wrap it on the dryer
-sometimes sparks right by the switch when I change the setting while on


I was a bit skeptical when purchasing this dryer, worrying about the negatives aspects I've read, but it's been very good to me with no problems so far. The exception is the spark issue, which, as I noticed, happened only a handful of times, but that is a deduction of one star since none of my past dryers have done that and it makes me wonder if there might have been an issue for some people. I've tried a few dryers including the famous T3 tourmaline dryer, which has half the power of this dryer. Which made sense on their claim for it being good for your hair due to their power difference. For my hair, because this dries my hair quickly without overdrying, it gives my hair body without it becoming a static-y flyaway.

I will be happy to purchase this again in the future, but hopefully this won't break for a few years.

Comment: This was for my wife. She is a heavy user and we go through to commercial dryer a year. We get this one after recommendation from friends as it lasts so far with this dryer it takes less time to dry the hair than others. The price on Amazon it very reasonable.
