BaByliss Pro BABNT5550 Nano Titanium Hair Dryer, Mid-Size

I have mixed feelings about this dryer. I purchased this dryer at a beauty supply closeout sale for around $30, a huge markdown from the normal selling cost elsewhere. In comparing it to other dryers in that price range, this is a nice quality dryer with an extra long cord. But while it is compact compared to other "pro" dryers, it is still an average size dryer (with no folding handle or dual-voltage feature). Unfortunately, after using it for four months, I see no difference in drying time nor do I see a reduction in frizz (with long, color processed hair). For what I paid, I am happy with this dryer since I needed one anyway, but all the "negative ions" and "titanium technology" hype is just that - nothing more than a marketing gimmick. If you need a dryer for home use, this is fine, but the performance is not worth the huge price premium over other brands.

This is a great hair dryer.Small,yet very powerful.Your arm will not hurt again,holding it up.I have medium length hair.It now takes less then 10 minutes to dry and style.No frizz.There are 2 speeds.The high is very strong,but start with that,then use low, with low heat.I like this much more then the Chi I was using before.Perfect choice.Babyliss pro BABNT5550 Compact Nano Titanium Hair Dryer.
The price is also unbelievable.

However, it does not have 6 settings. It has 2 speed, 2 heat and 1 cool shot button. I guess they count Off as a setting...?

I use this on high heat and speed to start off and then change to warm once most of the water is out of my hair. Then I use the cool shot to finish off my drying and add shine to my hair.

I love the small size but with 1900 watts drying time is fast! No damage at all from this dryer. I was not sure about using high heat but I have had no issues what so ever.
